About Me

I am a change agent and community steward who values creativity, community, and personal growth.

I come to life when empowering my clients through struggle, uncertainty, transitions, and difficulties. Through my work I offer alternate perspectives, inviting movement and playfulness as a way to make sense of the world and experience deeper connection to ourselves and each other.

I believe we can be at our best when we’re free to explore and direct our lives as we choose, finding a balance between our inner and outer worlds.

I find my deepest joy when in nature, surrounded by people I love, and when connected to my creativity. I’m committed to digging into the hard parts of life while always holding onto hope.

To provide high-quality transformative experiences with youth and adults of all ages.

This includes:

  • Individual therapy that incorporates art, movement, and nontraditional approaches as well as evidence-based therapeutic techniques

  • Visual art such as silk paintings and public murals that touch on subjects like grief, loss, and transition

  • Coaching groups and retreats surrounding questions of identity and navigating change

  • Workshops with schools, workplaces, churches, and other communities to help the group move forward on an important area needing change or growth

The ambition behind Stream of Mind is three-pronged: Art, Community, and Mental Health.

These three values drive our sense of empowerment and our ability to express ourselves--how we come to know ourselves and navigate the outside world.

Art

Art feels inaccessible to many people; we may feel we don’t have the skills to do it “right.”

Art in its purest form offers us a new way to express ourselves that goes beyond the conventional means. Art helps us to access our imagination; to find playfulness in times of transition; to heal through joyful interaction. Stream of Mind uses art to open the door to new ways of being.

Community

Oftentimes the communities we occupy exist by chance; we rarely choose our families or classmates or coworkers. However, we can choose how to interact with these groups. Stream of Mind seeks to help us reimagine our relationships and deepen our sense of meaning through shared experience and intentional communication. Community is built by identifying and strengthening commonalities, by creating a new vision of the future that brings us together.

Mental Health

Mental health is a lifelong journey of self-discovery and personal growth. The ultimate goal is unification of the internal and external, to attain a self-actualized life and experience life more fully. Stream of Mind sets the stage for authenticity, courage, and strength-finding while making space to sit with deeper core issues that may come up, individually and as a group.
